Clean and mask

The lenses are degreased and adjacent paint and trim are protected before correction begins.

Wet sand

Measured sanding stages remove oxidation and damaged material evenly.

Polish and refine

Machine polishing restores optical clarity and removes the remaining sanding marks.

Seal and inspect

UV protection is applied before both lenses receive a final clarity check.

Cracks, chips, internal condensation, and damage inside the light cannot be corrected through exterior restoration.

Questions, answered.

How long does headlight restoration last?

With a UV sealant applied at the end, typically 1 to 2 years before oxidation starts returning. If you want longer-term protection, we can coat the lenses as part of a ceramic coating service.

Can you restore headlights that are cracked or chipped?

No. Restoration works on oxidation, hazing, and yellowing from UV exposure. Physical cracks or chips in the lens require replacement. We will tell you before we start if that is the case.

Why do headlights go yellow?

UV exposure degrades the polycarbonate lens after the factory protective coating wears away. Strong sunlight can accelerate the oxidation process.
