A direct hose blast into uncovered electrics? Yes. What we do is controlled. We cover what needs covering, work in sections, and use low-pressure rinsing where needed. Your engine gets rained on when you drive. A controlled clean is not the issue.
One to two hours depending on the state of the bay. A clean sports car: one hour. A neglected diesel bakkie with 15 years of oil and grime: expect two hours minimum.
