Depending on the product and how well the car is maintained, anywhere from 2 to 5 years. We use professional-grade coatings, not consumer spray-on products. The coating lasts longer when the car is washed correctly and not run through automatic car washes.
It adds hardness to the surface and resists light scratching and swirling better than bare paint. It is not scratch-proof. A ceramic coat will not save you from a key drag or a shopping trolley. It will significantly reduce swirl marks from regular washing.
Hand wash only, pH-neutral shampoo, two-bucket method or foam cannon. No automatic car washes. No abrasive compounds. Keep it out of the sun when parked where possible. We give you a full aftercare sheet when the car is collected.
Yes, if your paint has visible swirls, scratches, or defects. A ceramic coating is semi-permanent. It seals whatever is under it. Coating over defects locks them in. We will not coat a car with uncorrected paint without telling you first.
The application itself is one day. Combined with a 2-step paint correction beforehand, allow two full days. The coating needs 24 to 48 hours to cure before the car is exposed to water.
